To use this feature, simply put the wildcard pattern in the "Text to locate"/keyword search bar. Be mindful of erroneous spaces and using escape characters to search for wildcard characters. For more information on how to use pattern matching in search conditions, please visit this article or look up "pattern matching with sql wildcards" with your preferred search engine.
The following is an example of searching for social security numbers ###-##-####. You can use the SQL range wildcard for integers 0-9. This is would be [0-9][0-9][0-9]-[0-9][0-9]-[0-9][0-9][0-9][0-9]

HR Auditor 1.2

Trial Questions

The trial version of HR Auditor makes all product features available. You will be able to search your entire Lync archive. However only the first 10 lines of a chat are visible or exportable in the trial product.

HR Auditor can be installed on Microsoft Server 2008 R2 with IIS 7.5 and/or Server 2012 with IIS 8.0 that have .Net 4.0 Framework installed. HR Auditor must be installed on a different server than the Lync® server.

HR Auditor requires that archiving must be done using Lync® Server Archiving databases. Lync installs that are archiving using Microsoft Exchange integration are currently not supported by HR Auditor.

HR Auditor requires an account that has read access to the LCSLogs database. This account can either use Windows Authentication, or SQL Authentication.

HR Auditor also needs access to Active Directory to reconcile SIP URI to Active Directory user names.

The HR Auditor support team is here to help with any installation issues during your evaluation process. You can reach us at: support@instant-tech.com
HR Auditor supports on premise installs of Lync 2010® and Lync 2013® that are archiving using Lync® Server Archiving databases. Lync® installs that are archiving using Microsoft Exchange integration are currently not supported by HR Auditor.
Lync® Online is supported in a single-tenant environment only.
HR Auditor MSRP pricing starts at $1872 for 5 viewers with 1 Lync® server. Pricing scales based on total number of enterprise IM users, total number of Lync® servers and viewers required.
A viewer is a user that is authorized to search the Lync® archive. Most companies do not need more than 5 viewers in an organization unless they want to use manager mode enabling functional managers the ability to search their department if needed.

Technical Questions

The most common reason you are receiving this error is that the server you are running isn't able to handle requests whose URLs do not end with a period.
Please visit KB 980368 to review the recommend hotfix by Microsoft.

In order to restrict an auditor, there are a few basic steps.
  1. Make sure that the group of users you want to restrict their searches to are defined as a group in Active Directory.
  2. Go to the Admin tab of the HR Auditor application, and click on security
  3. Select the auditor you wish to restrict, and select Restricted in the drop-down menu.
  4. In the text field below the auditors name, type the name of the Active Directory group and select using the type-ahead selector.
  5. Click the save button to apply the new settings.
This auditor will now only see conversations that users in the specified group participate in.

Note: This includes conversations that the users have with users in other groups.

To save a search, use the following steps:
  1. Specify all of the parameters for your search (dates, keywords, uers).
  2. Click on the Saved Queries box below the search fields.

Once saved, you may quickly repeat a search by opening the Saved Queries panel and clicking on the title of the search.

Note: Saving queries under projects is not recommended in Internet Explorer 8. The browser cannot render searches saved under projects.

If you are frequently seeing error pages, especially on larger searches, it is possible that there may be a delay in getting results from your SQL server.
Consult the installation guide for instruction on how to change your SQL timeout, or contact our support team , and we can guide you through making the appropriate changes.
Older versions of Internet Explorer may not fully support some of the scripts used in the application. If you are experiencing frequent problems, we suggest upgrading your browser if possible.
